The Autumn edition of the Global Tea Industry Fair opens today from 9:30 AM – 6 PM
at the Shenzhen Convention & Exhibition Center, Fuhua 3rd Rd, Futian CBD,
Futian District, Shenzhen, Guangdong Sheng, China, 518000

The 2017 Belt and Road International Tea Industry Summit Forum hosted by Shenzhen Huajuchen Industrial Group received strong support from several organizations including the British Tea Association, the Australian Tea Masters Association, the Indian Tea Association and Russian Tea and Coffee. Joining the discussion on international cooperation in the tea industry further opens the gate of globalization between China and the world.

Mr. Yang, Chairman of the Shenzhen Huajuchen Industry Group commented, “China is the largest tea-producing country in the world. However, some traders and buyers remain doubtful about its safety when they source tea in China. In fact, this is actually a big misunderstanding, the supervision and quality control of Chinese tea is very strict. It meets or exceeds standards for organic certification required of EU-certified tea gardens.”

Furthermore, Mr. Yang says that “Our 3,800 booths at this year’s tea fair represent national premium and secondary brands. All have food safety certifications and many companies have obtained EU organic certification, others have obtained Japanese (JAS) certification. The quality is trustworthy.”

“The UK is a big tea consumption country,” says British botanist Jonathan Jones, explaining that the UK has a long history of drinking tea and a common point with Chinese tea culture. “China and the UK are friendly allies in the development of the tea industry. I believe that there will be more tea culture exchange in the future,” he said.

Mr. Ian Gibbs, Chairman of the International Tea Committee, delivered a speech describing world tea production that has doubled during the years 1996-2016 and continues its annual upward trend. The largest tea producing country is China. “Moreover, China’s black tea and green tea exports are increasing as a percentage of global exports. Status has affirmed China’s contribution to the development of the world tea industry,” said Gibbs.

This forum will extend essence of the previous session and will be held at the Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center from December 13-17, 2018 to jointly promote the sustainable development of the global tea industry innovation!
