Personalization was already taken to new heights when Spoonflower began in 2008 and created a way for consumers to design, print and sell their own fabric, wallpaper and gift wrap. Now, a new launch from those creative minds at Spoonflower brings Roostery to the marketplace, offering custom home décor, including tea towels, placemats, napkins, throw pillows and even occasional chairs.

Customization is at the heart of this venture as Roostery allows customers to choose from over 350,000 designs (including tea-inspired patterns) or even upload a design of their own. Roostery’s technology can make any vision, color, theme, or style a reality, allowing for the ultimate in personal style and truly personalized gifts.

“Today when you walk into major retailers, you’re subject to fleeting, seasonal trends and pre-selected color palettes,” says Allison Sloan Polish, president of Spoonflower and Roostery. “But, if you’ve decided to paint your dining room purple, you may not be able to find statement pieces that reflect your individual design choices. Roostery puts the power in the hands of the design-lover.”

It also puts power—and profit—in the hands of artists as each Roostery sale supports the work of the individual artists across the globe who have created each original design. More than 200 different designs are uploaded to Spoonflower every hour. Each Roostery product is created using Spoonflower fabric, printed in Durham, N.C., and made-on-demand in the United States.
