Dads are in motion. Dads are decisive. Dads get things done.
Dads lead by example. Their roles as father, mentor, husband, provider, are essential and rewarding, but stressful. So take a few deep breaths, pour a cup, and come sit for a while.
On this Father’s Day, we recognize the extraordinary commitment and love required of parenting. We are grateful.
This has been a year for reflection, an opportunity to re-examine our habits and everyday routines. Lockdowns and losses re-emphasize the importance of maintaining our good health―both physical and mental. An entire generation of young fathers experienced unusual proximity with their immediate loved ones during the past year while their parents grieved over forced time apart.
Soon we will be together again.
Caution is wise, the pandemic has not run its course, but as the crisis ebbs, consider how readily tea demonstrated that it is a beverage uniquely suited to the challenge of change. Tea calmed us during the pandemic, it provided a pleasant daily pleasure―a welcome break. Tea became an at-home habit worth preserving.
Now it will energize our bodies as life speeds up, offices reopen and commutes return. Dads will soon be in motion but perhaps more thoughtful of the togetherness they shared. As retailers once again hang out welcome signs consider a gift memorializing the lessons of the past 18 months, something to reinforce the importance of spending “time within” for that special Dad in your life.

“Where once we only had industrial granules we now have fragrant coffee beans. Beside malt vinegar in cupboards across the country there is cider, sherry and aged balsamic. Where there was only vegetable oil the nation has embraced extra virgin olive. Now it’s teas time.” – Rare Tea Co. founder and author Henrietta Lovell, Infused, Adventures in Tea.
