Being Tea | Online Tea Classes

Being Tea offers a uniquely human-centered membership program, offering financially accessible, sensory supportive, self-empowered education for your daily life in tea! The online program for self-guided tea learning is available for annual gifting. Choose either a year of 60- to 75-minute class videos or gift a year of videos plus weekly live classes. Instructor Suzette Hammond presents two main topics: Tea Skills for deeper sensory development, such as functional brewing techniques, professional cupping skills, classical tea ware introductions, exploring tea categories, and building tea tasting vocabulary; and, Tea Meditation for training in mindfulness practices with tea, such as techniques for preparing tea in meditation, seasonal energetics of teas, breathwork with tea, restorative practices for reducing stress, and tea meditation journaling.

Dan is an editor and publisher, a podcaster, blogger, and beverage retail consultant. He is a frequent speaker at industry seminars and conferences (virtual and in-person). Dan was the first editor and publisher at World Tea News and has worked as editor and publisher of Tea Magazine and managing editor of STiR coffee and tea. His work appears online and in many magazines. In 2016 he organized the collaborative group of tea journalists and experts who founded Tea Journey magazine and in 2021 launched the Tea Biz podcast. He began his publications career in 1974 as a newspaper reporter.
