Growing up, I had a somewhat different tradition in my family. Whenever it was anybody’s birthday or a special day like Mother’s Day, we would give the person (whose day it was) a gift, but we (my sister and I) would also get gifts, what you could call return gifts. That got me so excited for every occasion, because no matter whose day it was, I would definitely get a gift. We have continued the tradition to date, which makes everything so much more fun.
